To be honest this whole thing just kind of happened so quickly after we both announced to the world that we were having twins. It started to gain some attention and curiosity so we decided to give it a dedicated page on Instagram to share our story and fun twinning pictures but then the questions started rolling in and we just decided why not add a blog! We really just wanted a space where we could share this unique journey with people but Amanda and I also have such a fun time embracing trendy motherhood and finding the most fun baby and motherhood products so we also want to share that passion with our readers as well! Not everything baby related needs to have Chevron print!
I work full time utilizing my degree in the medical field and work for an orthopedic surgery office. I also own and run a little Etsy Small shop that I absolutely love because that is my place to express and share my creativity! I do a lot of my small shop work during nap times, after bed times into late nights, and early mornings. After finding out about our twins, my husband and I have decided that it was in our best interest as a family for me to stay at home, so come mid June, I have been afforded the opportunity to stay home to focus on being a stay at home mommy raising our babies, and running my little small shop from home! I am so excited for this next chapter and we are so thankful to have such wonderful help from both sides of our family.
I decided to stay at home after having my first, mainly because childcare in San Diego is almost completely unaffordable and I felt so blessed to have the opportunity to spend all my days with my daughter! Being a SAHM is not the walk in the park that it looks like from the outside but I will be surrounded by family to help when the twins are here and I am so thankful for that!

What are a few things you are doing now to prep for the new babies?
I have reached nesting mode over here! Currently we are prepping their nursery, getting some honey do projects done around the house, and have been doing some major and much needed purging of unnecessary stuff to prepare for the addition of our twins! I find myself planning, wanting to have a minimal safe space for all three kiddos, and are collecting all of our must have baby items. I am trying to figure out what is absolutely necessary and what we can go without this time around!
Right now I am slowly collecting the must have items for babies and beginning to work on their nursery. But mostly I am just trying to take care of my body and keep them as healthy as they can possibly be!
Do you have any advice for other moms that are expecting twins?
I'm so new to this twin game but just from what I have experienced and learned so far is that it is most certainly okay to be scared. Just know that there is a huge support group of women and families going through your same situation and that you are not alone! Embrace the change, listen to your body, and know that there are more people out there willing to surround and support you with positivity because in a situation like this, you can't get enough of it! I know that this journey is going to be the biggest adjustment of our lives, heck even just one little babe was but you learn to live and adjust according to what you and your family need. Don't compare your journey to anyone else's but your own and be confident in yourself and your ability to grow two perfect little lives!
I am sure there are a million mama's out there who could probably give better advice than me but all I can say is embrace this journey! Is it scary? Absolutely, but we are only a small percentage of women who get to be on this incredibly unique journey and that is something to celebrate. Surround yourself with people who will lift you up and support the journey you are on and leave behind the negativity. People will always have comments and opinions but stay in the positive and embrace this blessing!
How is this pregnancy different than your first pregnancies?
This pregnancy, every single pregnancy symptom was more enhanced. I definitely could tell earlier on that we were expecting. I was twice the normal tired as I was with Adeline in the first trimester and I kind of thought it may be just a second pregnancy thing but surprise, TWINS! I was bloated earlier on, and most of my symptoms have been a lot more enhanced. Some things that I felt with my first at the very end of my pregnancy I am already starting to feel now! Talk about crazy! I would explain this as my second pregnancy but almost feel like it is my first all over again because there are so many differences! There are also a lot more risks, worries, and appointments than I had with my first! We get to see these little babies making their scree debuts on their ultrasounds a lot more often!
This pregnancy has been 100% different than my first! I found out I was pregnant earlier, I felt every pregnancy symptom earlier and more intense and had morning sickness like you wouldn't believe! It's also so different because it's a high risk pregnancy so I see an OB as well as a specialist and there is an ultrasound at every single visit which is so amazing! At 18 weeks I have had almost twice the amount of ultrasounds than I did with my whole first pregnancy.

Does it make a difference knowing that you are going through this experience with each other?
To be honest, I was pretty scared in the beginning. I don't know many people with twins nor did I have a lot of people to talk to about this situation other than forums or mom groups. Of course you get distant advice but it really was not the same. Having Britt to go through this journey with has absolutely made all the difference. It has been so nice to have someone to talk and give updates to because she understands everything that I am going through! It also helps us both stay more positive because we have each other to remind one another to keep that positivity up! Regardless Britt is just a fun person to go through this journey with and I feel like motherhood has brought us close together for a reason!
I couldn't be more grateful to have Amanda to go through this journey with. It makes all the difference to have someone go through the very same thing. We are able to keep each other positive and help to ease each others fears. Carrying two babies is scary there is so much more to think and worry about but it is everything to have that person there for you! We also just have fun with it and I think that really comes through on our Instagram page!
